Tour itinerary

Day 1
Marrakech – ouarzazate – rose valley – dades valley
After breakfast in your hotel/Riad, we will start the first day of our desert tour from Marrakech, driving through the High Atlas Mountains where we will pass by the famous Tizi n'Tichka pass, and many traditional Berber villages. Then we will reach Ksar Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO world heritage site, considered centuries ago as a passage point for commercial caravans between Sub-Saharan Africa and Marrakech. At the present time it’s a destination for international movies shootings such as Gladiator, Prince of Persia, Lawrence of Arabia, game of thrones season 3 and more others. After lunch we will continue our road passing by Ouarzazate, Skoura valley and Rose valley where you will have the chance to stop to by the rose products from the Valley, before we reach Dades Valley where you will spend your first night.

Day 2
Dades valley – Todgha Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast in your Riad/Kasbah we will start the second day of our Morocco desert tour from Marrakech to Fes with natural scenery of red and mauve rocks above the road before arriving to Todgha gorges Gorges where you can enjoy the river, the scenery, and take amazing pictures. After lunch we will continue our road passing by many oasis, palm trees, before arriving to Merzouga Sahara desert where you will ride your camels to the camp for an overnight in a traditional Berber nomad tent in the middle of the Erg Chebbi Sahara dunes.

Day 3
Exploring Merzouga Sahara Desert
Today’s agenda will be an adventure to explore the Sahara desert and its golden dunes. It will start by visiting Berber nomads in their tents to have a cup of tea with them and to know more about their way of living. Then we will head to Khamliya village for the Gnaoua heritage music performance. Lunch will be special for today, because you will taste one of the famous local meals which is “Berber Pizza”. After lunch we will visit the Palm Oases of Hassi Elbid before returning to the camp.

Day 4
Merzouga – Alnif – Agdez – Ouarzazate
Today, our camp craw will wake you up early so you can witness the most spectacular sunrise in Merzouga Sahara Desert. After breakfast you have the choice to take the camel ride or 4x4 ride from the camp to the meeting point where you will meet your driver and start the journey to Ouarzazate. The first stop will be Errisani, an old and traditional city, its old name was Sijilmassa, and it was a meeting point and big market for commercial caravans coming from Sub-Saharan Africa where some goes north to Fes, and others goes west to Marrakech. In Errisani you will have time to explore a traditional market, known by dates, spices, and jewelries. From Errisani, we will pass by many Berber villages such as Alnif, Tazarine, until we reach Nkob where we will have lunch. After lunch we will drive to Ouarzazat crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains in Ait Saouen pass. Overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 5
Ouarzazate – Tizi n'Tichka Pass – Marrakech
Today will be the last day of the 4 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga, where we will drive back from Ouarzazate to Marrakech crossing the High Atlas Mountains, and drop you in your Hotel/Riad, hoping you enjoy your Morocco desert tour.
